The Banks Apartments is a multifamily community situated in the Algiers submarket of New Orleans, a historic, well-connected neighborhood just across the river from the Central Business District. VPG applied its renovation-driven investment strategy at the property, directing capital toward comprehensive exterior, interior, and infrastructure improvements that elevated both the physical asset and its market position.​

What sets this project apart is the transformation that extended beyond the buildings themselves. Under VPG's management, the property experienced a marked turnaround in resident culture and community standing, earning genuine buy-in from the surrounding neighborhood and city officials alike. That kind of stakeholder alignment is difficult to manufacture and speaks to VPG's hands-on, community-oriented approach to asset management, an intangible that translates into lower turnover, stronger reputation, and more durable long-term performance.​

With the development plan fully implemented, The Banks reached stabilization in February 2019, closing out a successful repositioning that improved both the asset's fundamentals and its standing within the community it serves.​
